The Missouri Legislature’s veto session on Wednesday (9/13) ended quickly. None of Governor Eric Greitens’ vetoes were over-ridden, although an attempt by Democrats to restore funding for services to the elderly and disabled was defeated. State Representative Charlie Davis of Webb City tells News Talk KZRG lawmakers want to find a way to undo those cuts.
“During floor debate, the Budget Chairman made a commitment that we are going to work really hard to find a permanent solution very quickly for this issue, rather than a temporary fix.”
About 8300 people would be affected by the cuts.
